LEXINGTON, KY (Aug. 20, 2026) – Keeneland has announced that two horses — a colt by Yaupon and a filly by Tapit — comprise the second round of supplements to Book 1 of the September Yearling Sale on Sept. 14-15. Click here for the September Sale catalog.
Opening day of the September Sale will include:
- Hip 184 is a colt by Yaupon out of Dame Iris, by Medaglia d’Oro. From the family of Irish highweight Bachelor Duke, Grade 1 winner Talco (FR) and Grade/Group 2 winners Spanish Mission and Asbury Park, he is consigned by Hunter Valley Farm, agent.
Supplemented to the second session is:
- Hip 377 is a filly by Tapit who is a half-sister to champion and freshman sire Forte. Gainesway, agent, consigns the daughter of stakes winner Queen Caroline, by Blame.
With these supplements, a total of 4,642 horses have been cataloged to the September Sale, which runs 12 sessions through Saturday, Sept. 26.

Last year’s September Sale was the world’s highest-grossing Thoroughbred auction in history with more than $531.7 million in sales for 3,078 horses. The number of million-dollar horses (56) along with the average price ($172,755) and the median price ($80,000) all set records for the sale.
