Amid escalating tensions in the Middle East and uncertainty surrounding the staging of Dubai World Cup Day (28th), trainer Yoshito Yahagi, who oversees Forever Young (Horse, 5yo), currently based in Dubai, spoke to reporters on the 3rd at Ritto Training Center.
With a solemn expression, Yahagi said, “First and foremost, I sincerely apologise for causing concern to the families of our staff members and all those connected who are currently over there.”
He continued, “The safety of both our people and our horses is the top priority. However, as professionals, all we can do is continue our trackwork without easing up and give our very best.” He indicated that preparations will proceed as planned toward the race.
Forever Young has reportedly been progressing smoothly, including being allowed onto the main track from the 2nd, and is completing his scheduled training regimen without issue.
