Four-year-old Knightsbridge hopes to emulate his half-brother Speaker’s Corner with Graded Stakes success at Gulfstream Park, USA, when he tackles the G3 Mr Prospector Stakes on Saturday, 27 December.
Darley stallion Speaker’s Corner captured the G3 Fred W Hooper Stakes and G2 Gulfstream Park Mile at the Florida course in early 2022 before going on to post a scintillating win in the G1 Carter Handicap at Aqueduct.
Nyquist colt Knightsbridge made a hugely impressive start to his career when scoring by 10 and a half lengths on his debut for Bill Mott at Churchill Downs in November, 2023.
He dominated again on his next start, taking a Gulfstream Park allowance optional claimer by nine lengths, before finishing a length third on his only other three-year-old appearance in Keeneland’s G3 Perryville Stakes.
Having finished second on his seasonal return at Gulfstream Park in February, Knightsbridge again missed the summer before easily winning an allowance optional claimer at Aqueduct last month.

Michael Banahan, Director of Bloodstock, Godolphin USA, said: “Knightsbridge has been training super since he returned from his last break. He ran very well last time out on the back of some very good works to win quite readily.
“This will be the first time that he has had the chance to put races back-to-back, so I am excited to see what he can do when stringing some races together.
“There are a couple of speed horses on his outside so hopefully he can get a nice tracking trip and be able to finish strongly. White Abarrio is a multiple G1 winner who performs better at a longer distance, but he should be a tough opponent anyway from a class perspective.
“It is a very good opportunity for Knightsbridge to gain a Graded Stakes win and hopefully set him up for a breakout year in 2026.”
