ARCADIA, CA (Dec. 18, 2025)— Santa Anita’s popular wall calendar giveaway will once again welcome fans to The Great Race Place on Opening Day of the traditional Classic Meet on Friday, Dec. 26. Featured in the 2026 edition of the colorful wall calendar are many of the leading trainers in the iconic track’s 90-plus year history, all of whom are enshrined in the National Museum of Racing and Hall of Fame.
This year marks the 50th anniversary of Santa Anita’s wall calendar giveaway. It is free for all guests who attend the opening of the 2025-26 Classic Meet on the day after Christmas.
“Santa Anita is excited to present the 50th anniversary edition of the Santa Anita Wall Calendar,” said Andrew Arthur, Santa Anita’s Director of Marketing. “This year, Santa Anita salutes the leading trainers who have been inducted into the National Museum of Racing’s Hall of Fame. A mainstay Opening Day tradition, fans can get a free wall calendar that I’m sure all Santa Anita fans will enjoy.”
The 13 trainers spotlighted in the calendar span the nine-plus decade history of Santa Anita Park. They range from William Molter, a multiple Santa Anita training champion in the 1940s and 1950s, to still-active Hall of Famers Ron McAnally, Bob Baffert and Richard Mandella. Other Hall of Fame trainers featured are 1960s icons M.E. “Buster” Millerick, Mesh Tenney and James Maloney; plus more recent Hall of Fame inductees Gary Jones, Lazaro Barrera, Charlie Whittingham, Jack Van Berg, Bobby Frankel and D. Wayne Lukas.
In addition to the free wall calendar, the traditional day-after-Christmas start at Santa Anita will feature a blockbuster card of top-class Thoroughbred racing as well as other entertainment that includes a Craft Beer Festival, Winter Family Fun Zone and much more.
